On August 30, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of their landmark debut album with a special night at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. The Ramones tribute brought together friends, family and fans for an evening celebrating the band’s legacy, featuring a live performance from the “Cretin Family” — Billie Joe Armstrong, Tim Armstrong, Travis Barker and CJ Ramone — with special guests Billy Idol, Fred Armisen and The Linda Lindas. John Travolta hosted the evening and presented special screenings of Carrie, celebrating its 50th anniversary, and his new film One-Way Night Coach, with Shepard Fairey DJing throughout the night.
